Business For Breakfast @ Cecconi’s, Soho Beach House – Friday May 10, 2019
Eberjey: Mariela Rovito and Ali Mejia
Gryph & IvyRose: Rachel Finger
After the success of our last breakfast talk at Cecconi’s, we sat down with our friends at Soho Beach House (Jordana Mesner) to discuss doing more of these inspiring talks together. I thought about what motivates people today, and I also considered how we have been listening to more and more Podcasts, and looking for deeper, more meaningful information and ways to learn. With that in mind, we created a new series called “Business For Breakfast.”
It was important to me to bring together inspiring people to candidly share their stories; the highs and lows of trying to stay authentic in a time where insincerity in business prevails. We wanted to step away from the crazy ‘influencer culture’ and stay inspired by bringing forth the hard-working authorities in their respective fields. The leaders, the self-made entrepreneurs and the creative innovators. I am motived to #AspireToInspire.
Our first event happened to fall close to Mothers’ Day so we named it the Mothers’ Day edition. I called upon two highly successful, local lifestyle brands that are centered around family – ‘Eberjey’ and ‘Gryph&IvyRose.’ The Founders on our panel (all working Mom’s), shared different but all equally valuable insights about being a Mother and still following your dreams – there is no such thing as balance! To stay successful in a highly competitive industry, you need to stay authentic by staying true to your own point of view, and following your core values. It was both insightful and inspiring, and proved once again that women can do it all.
